‘ Eu sou pioneiro, eu sou pioneiro. ‘
I don’t know when and where I first heard the song. I do know my mum would sometimes sing it.
‘ Eu sou pioneiro, eu sou pioneiro. ‘
I also know they are words of a children’s song, sung during the Capeverdean pro independence era.
Sometimes the song pops up in my head and I start to sing:
‘ Eu sou pioneiro, eu sou pioneiro, eu sou pioneiro-hei-ro, para tudo povo e amanhã! ‘
I recently learned that I made up the last part of the sentence.
That is okay. I like my version.
